Hugh Martin Scholarship Fund: A Scholarship Program
Our deputies and employees at El Paso County, CO Sheriff's Office serve as our first line of defense against crime—keeping our local neighborhoods safe. It is important that they are equipped with the right knowledge, skills, and training to serve the community better.
The Hugh Martin memorial scholarship program provides educational assistance to the employees of the El Paso County Sheriff's Office. Since we started, it has always been our goal to protect and serve the community by working hand in hand with our military brothers and sisters and all law enforcement agencies in our community.
About the Program
By creating a bond within law enforcement and education, we are making a huge difference in society. In our program, we try to connect the law enforcement community to the public itself. At present, we have given more than 200 scholarships. We are grateful to our citizens who understand the need and benefit of education in the law enforcement group.
Robert Johnson, one of the directors of the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Foundation, is currently the President of the board. The board believes that with our educational efforts, our community will be safer both for the general public and the police officers alike.
